Born in New York City, Joey Vega started his comedy, acting and writing career on a dare. Joey used his acting skills in feature films and episodic TV. He has acted alongside Tom Hanks, Sally Field, Ed Norton, John Turturro, Matt Damon, and many others. Some of his TV credits include HBO’s documentary “Good Hair” as well as punch up writing for such movies as “I Think I Love My Wife,” “Death At a Funeral,” “Grown Ups,” “grown Ups 2,” “What To Expect When You’re Expecting,” and he consulted on the movie “Top Five” Joey has also helped tweak stand-up material for Chris Rock and was a staff writer for George Lopez’s Late night talk show “Lopez Tonight.”
