Bird Watching at Opus 40

Join longtime Hudson Valley birdwatcher Kyle Bardwell for two walks through the woods to find, identify and watch an amazing array of birds. Both walks begin with coffee and breakfast.

On this walk, we’ll look for the colorful and musical neo-tropical migrant birds on the Opus 40 property. Mid May is peak time for many birds to be moving through the Hudson Valley and we hope to catch some on their journey. It is important for these delicate birds to occasionally stop to rest, eat and replenish throughout their long migration. The diversity of habitat on the Opus 40 property provides a lot of excitement for what could be seen! Kyle will provide tips on identifying these songbirds by sight and sound. All participants are encouraged to bring a pair of binoculars.
